MIROSLAWA SOJKA TOPOR

Born in the Polish Tatra mountain region, she is known among the Polish Community as the top performer of Polish highland music. But Miroslawa Sojka Topor is much more than that: she has received her musical education in Krakow's Academy of Music, one of the top performance schools in Poland. She finished performance studies at Chicago's Roosevelt University (soprano) she received Master Degree from DePoul University. Thanks to her unique musical versatility, while mastering her classical singing artistry, she also finds time to perform with the folk ensemble Goranie, with which she has recorder four CD recordings.
in 2000, she performed at the Peace Concert at the Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center, with exceptional critical acclaim. She also sang the challenging soprano part in Wojciech Kilar's Angelus, in Wokaliza by Wojciech Kilar in Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center, part of Ochmistrzyni in Haunted Manor in Rosemonth Theatre Chicago, part of Suor Angelika in Suor Angelica in Merle Reskin Theatre Chicago . She's performed throughotu the United States, Canada and Poland. She's also an excellent performer of Operetta Arias - as she proved beyond doubt while performing in PaSO's Vianna Nights concert. With her charming voice, Miroslawa Sojka Topor is doubtlessly one of Chicago's most talented and most prominent singers.
